PRINCE’S LAKES INFORMATION LOCATION: The town of Prince’s Lakes is located approximately 1 mile south of HISTORY: 14 lakes were built in the early 50’s. They have remained under the private ownership of the individual lot owners. East Lake is approximately 67 reservoir acres and is the only ski lake. The remaining lakes vary in size. SCHOOLS: Students attend Trafalgar elementary and kindergarten schools and Indiana Creek Middle and High Schools. Indiana University and Franklin College are within commuting distance, as are IV Tech and IU-PU in Columbus. UTILITIES: Electricity is provided by South Central REMC; telephone service is provided by Embarq (formerly Sprint), natural gas provided by Vectren; municipal water & sewer provided by Prince’s Lakes; oil and propane service provided by local vendors. LOT OWNER’S ASSOCIATION: Each lake has its own governing association and officers. Rules, regulations and dues vary with each individual lake. White Lake is also taxed by Conservancy. FIRE PROTECTION: Volunteer Nineveh Fire Department serves the lake area. SKIING AND FISHING: East Lake is the only lake which allows skiing. Skiing and fast boating on East Lake are allowed from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Each individual lake association is responsible for the amounts and types of fish stocked. POLICE PROTECTION: Police protection provides the area with around-the-clock service.
